Balloon Flight Video

This is a nine minute video of a balloon flight at the 2006 Hillsborough Balloon Festival and Fair. The flight took place on Sunday morning on the balloon named "Mr. Happy in Cognito", owned and piloted by Darrek Daoust of Quechee, Vermont.

The morning was a bit hazy at liftoff at about 6:30 am but started to clear as the sun came up. Visible are parts of downtown Hillsborough and deer running through back yards off Bible Hill Road. The balloon passes close by the radio transmission tower on Bible Hill and lands in the Park & Ride lot on Old Henniker Rd., where you can watch the pilot and chase crew pack up the balloon. At one point another balloon is seen landing on Rt. 9/202.

You will need the Real Media Player installed on your computer to view the video. Download it here.

If you have a broadband connection, the video should take 1 - 3 minutes to download, be patient. If you have dial-up, don't even bother, it will take forever.
